Water is restored/Boil Water Notice

The water has been restored. B & B will be under a Boil Water Notice untill futher notice.

Due to pipe failure at the Barry Pump Station and dropping of the pressure below 35 psi on 7/29/26 the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required B & B Water System PWS# 1750028 to notify all customers to boil water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.). Children, seniors, and people with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, all customers should follow these directions.

This area will include north and west of Barry on Highway 22. That includes the Cryer Creek area along FM 1126.

If you are without water now, you are affected by this notice.  No other areas are affected by this notice.

To ensure destruction of harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and boiled for two minutes.

In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from another suitable source for drinking water or human consumption.

When it is no longer necessary to boil water, the public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.

Please share this information with all people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.

Debido a una falla en la tubería de la estación de bombeo Barry y a la caída de la presión por debajo de 35 psi el 29/7/26, la Comisión de Calidad Ambiental de Texas ha exigido a los sistemas B & B Water System PWS# 1750028 notificar a todos los clientes que hiervan el agua antes de consumirla (por ejemplo, lavarse manos/cara, cepillarse dientes, beber, etc.). Los niños, personas mayores y personas con sistemas inmunitarios debilitados son especialmente vulnerables a bacterias dañinas; todos los clientes deben seguir estas instrucciones.

Esta zona incluirá el norte y el oeste de Barry en la autopista 22. Eso incluye la zona de Cryer Creek a lo largo de la FM 1126.

Cuando ya no sea necesario hervir agua, los responsables del sistema público notificarán a los clientes que el agua es segura para el consumo o para el consumo humano.

Una vez que el aviso de hervir el agua deje de estar en vigor, el sistema público emitirá un aviso a los clientes que revoca el aviso de hervir agua de manera similar a este aviso.

Por favor, comparte esta información con todas las personas que beben esta agua, especialmente con aquellas que quizá no hayan recibido este aviso directamente (por ejemplo, personas en apartamentos, residencias, colegios y negocios).
